Jessie Faye @ The Olive Leaf Cafe

Art: Mixed Media

Jessica is a self taught artist who is heavily influenced by the world around her, focusing mainly on the beautiful South Coast and its marine life.

Since 2015, Jess has been creating original artworks and quality art prints, displaying her work in a handful of cafes, restaurants and boutique retailers across the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Taking on some unique commissions, including illustrating a published book, Jessica has continued to expand and push her artistic goals, now incorporating her photographic prints on beautiful wooden frames made by her partner, to her collection.

Kerrie Yannikelis

Kerrie Yannikelis @ The Olive Leaf Cafe

Locally born and raised, Kerrie has always had a love for painting. Her grandfather Kosta and mother Kelly being two of her biggest influences. She first put brush to canvas at the age of 10 and hasn’t looked back.

Self taught, her style is very much abstract based consisting of mainly portraits using acrylic paints.

Kerrie is passionate about body image, male or female, and this shows in her artworks with many ‘imperfections’ being seen. Every painting is unique and one of a kind.

Richard John @ Harbor Barber

Art: Paintings

Richard John is a self taught artist who has successfully exhibited as part of Sala for a number of years, as well as at Tusk Gallery in Melbourne and the annual art show in his hometown of Victor Harbor. He paints things that he likes to paint: mainly commissions of children and dogs, but also paints things that he sees around him, like the 50's caravan that appears in many of his paintings. There are some beautiful old vans still around and they evoke childhood memories of freedom, innocence and simplicity. His caravan - a 1956 Globetrotter - serves both as a "prop" for his paintings and a source of constant inspiration.

Drawing on Country @ the Coral Street Art Space

What happens when people are invited to interpret their local environment through an artistic lens? A diverse group of novice, amateur and professional artists from Victor Harbor spent a day together exploring and responding to Granite Island. This exhibition is a result of that exploration. This project was proudly initiated and supported by Country Arts SA and The City of Victor Harbor.
